7月15日上午，化学与化工学院在工科楼713会议室召开学位评定暨学科发展研讨会。学院学位评定分委员会委员、科研秘书、本科教务员参加会议。会议由学院学位评定分委员会主席周元臻主持。
会议伊始，周元臻院长首先通报了分委员会委员到会情况及学校、学院相关学位审议要求。主管本科教学工作的付义乐副院长、研究生教学工作的周军副院长分别在会上通报了提交学院学位评定分委员会审议的相关议题情况。会议依照学校相关文件要求，审议了学院2021年第二批本科及硕士研究生毕业及授位、2022年化学工程与技术专业硕士导师、材料与化工专业硕士导师以及副导师资格等事宜。
紧接着，召开了学科发展研讨会。
周元臻院长传达了学校近期有关学科发展思路、科研相关政策导向及化学学科ESI最新排名情况，对学院学科发展提出了三点意见：一是要把握学科建设的时代性和规律性，紧密结合国家战略、区域资源特色和产业发展需求凝练学科方向；二是要打破固有学科领域界限，围绕学校主流学科链群加强跨学科交叉融合，激发学科发展活力；三是要全院上下“一盘棋”，凝心聚力，埋头苦干，促进学科水平快速上台阶。
周军副院长结合第五轮学科评估及化学工程与技术博士点申报工作，客观分析了当前学院学科发展中存在的短板与不足，并就科技成果奖励申报、留学生互派、国际会议交流等方面提出努力方向。
与会委员们围绕化学工程与技术学科特色方向、团队建设、项目申报、硬件建设、科研成果产出、人才培养等方面积极发言、各抒己见，提出了多项有益的意见、建议。
